Wagner.  The book tells the story of the mills beginning in 1899 with the construction of mill #1 on Railroad Street, the construction of mill #2 in 1924, life in the mill villages, the heyday of the textile industry, the union strike in the 1960s, and the final closing of the mills in1981. The book contains many rare photographs of the early days of Canton and the mill, including some from the personal collection of the mills' owners, the Jones family. The book is 200 pages, indexed and contains over 350 photographs.
